Time Lens is a solar powered bioscope installation and app featuring a series of interactive 360 degree panoramas documenting four blocks of Pearl Street in Chinatown North. Incorporated into these digital panoramas will be archival photographs and the voices, oral histories, dreams, mythology and memories of residents of the homeless shelter Sunday Breakfast Mission and other community members and residents. Artists Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer collaborated with men from the ʻOvercomersʻ group at the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission to create photographs, videos and interviews of the neighborhoodʻs past, present and future. Audiences will explore a rich tapestry of stories that inhabit the surfaces, cracks, crevices and portals of Pearl Street.
